The collaboration of the Destiny 2 Fortnite armor set took the entire gaming community by storm. Fortnite is known for the innumerable amount of collaborations it participates in. However, this is the first time Fortnite-themed cosmetics are being introduced in another game.

The Destiny 2 Fortnite armor cosmetics went live in the game with Season of Plunder. The three classes have three different armor ornaments. Each cosmetic item is a part of a bundle priced at 1500 Silver for each class. However, there is a way in which you can get it for free.

Acquiring the Destiny 2 Fortnite armor for free

If you’ve been playing Destiny 2 for a while now, you will know about Bright Dust. Bright Dust is an in-game currency that you can earn in-game. You cannot purchase this currency by spending real money. The only way to get Bright Dust in Destiny 2 is by completing the various seasonal quests. Certain vendors offer bounties that offer Bright Dust as one of the rewards for completion.

Since the Destiny 2 Fortnite armor cosmetics are really popular, they will also make an appearance in the weekly Eververse Store. Individual pieces of this armor set will be available for sale over different weeks in the game. The best part about this is you can purchase these with Bright Dust.

You will find individual pieces of the Destiny 2 Fortnite armor pieces on sale during Weeks 4, 6, 8, 12, and 14 of the Season of Plunder. You can purchase these armor cosmetics for 1600 Bright Dust each during these weeks. Since there are five pieces in each set, one complete set will cost you a whopping 8000 Bright Dust for each class. While this price is high, you can choose to buy individual pieces of the set with Bright Dust if you don’t like all the items in the bundle.

That said, the Destiny 2 Fortnite cosmetics will still be available in the Eververse Store in Destiny 2. If you cannot purchase all these items for Bright Dust, you can purchase them later on using Silver. The overall price will change depending on the number of items you own from the set. For example, suppose you already own 3 of the 5 cosmetic pieces; while purchasing the bundle for Silver, you will only have to pay for the two remaining cosmetics and not the entire set.

While that happens to be the situation in Destiny 2, some of the members of the Vanguard have already made their way to Fortnite island. You can purchase those skins from the Fortnite Item Shop in exchange for V-Bucks.
