One of the cutest new minions added to Final Fantasy XIV in the game’s latest expansion, Endwalker, the Flag Minion is a tiny deer that will loyally follow you around on your adventures. This minion’s adorable appearance and rarity have made it highly sought after.

To get the Flag Minion, you’ll need to have a Retainer with any combat job. This means any Disciple of Magic job, such as Arcanist, or Disciple of War, Such as Marauder. Next, you’ll need to send them on the Field Exploration XXVI mission. The Flag Minion is an uncommon reward from that mission.

To send your Retainer on the Field Exploration XXVI mission, they’ll need to be at least job level 81. This means you’ll have to have the corresponding job to level 81 as well. For example, if your Retainer is a Marauder, you’ll need to be at least a level 81 Warrior to send them on the Exploration mission. Additionally, your Retainer will need to have an average item level of 500.

As a reward for completing Field Exploration XXVI, your Retainer will receive 3,179,200 experience, a chance to receive the Flag Minion, or between three and four crafting materials. These include Almasty Fur, Gaja Hide, Kumbhira Skin, Lunatender Blossom, Luncheon Toad Skin, or Saiga Hide.

Field Exploration missions take 18 hours to complete, and there’s only a chance you’ll receive the Flag Minion. Alternatively, if you have the Gil, you can purchase the Flag Minion from the Market Board. At the moment, it sells for around one million Gil, but as the expansion continues, it’s sure to fall in price.
