Similar to Nibbles the Cat in Cyberpunk 2077, the Iguana is a pet that players can acquire for V’s apartment. While it will not leave the player home, it provides a sense of comfort whenever users return from an intense adventure. After all, there are few better things in life than petting one’s cherished animal companion, especially in the dystopian and dangerous environment of Night City. A primary difference between Nibbles and the Iguana is that the lizard is a “missable collectible,” as it is only acquirable during a specific mission in the main story.
Unlocking the Iguana in Cyberpunk 2077
Unlike the cat that comes in its default form when players discover it, the Iguana in Cyberpunk 2077 hatches from a hidden egg that users must find during “The Heist.” Since Konpeki Plaza becomes inaccessible after players complete the mission, it is essential that the egg is found and collected before leaving Yorinobu’s penthouse.

According to YouTuber Punish, the hidden Iguana egg in Cyberpunk 2077 is located behind the log in Yorinobu’s penthouse, where players see another real Iguana perched on a branch of the log. If players look to the left side of the log, near the end by the elevator of the penthouse, they will find a tiny egg hidden in the grass. This item can be extremely difficult to see since the room is dimly lit. However, users should see a UI element if they hover over the egg, indicating that the collectible can be collected. After getting the egg and completing “The Heist” and its follow-up mission, players can return to their apartment, where they will find a small bowl on the table near the sofa.
If users place the Iguana egg into the bowl in Cyberpunk 2077, the egg will hatch into the lizard pet after approximately 100 in-game days. As for those who have already finished “The Heist,” there is still a way to return to Yorinobu’s penthouse. If users download and install the Flying Cars Mod for the game, they can fly their vehicle onto the top of Konpeki Plaza, after which they can enter Yorinobu’s room and obtain the egg.
