Apple’s latest version of macOS — macOS Mojave comes with a bunch of improvements and new macOS features including my personal favorites – the macOS Dark Mode (finally!), and the macOS dynamic wallpaper. However, while most of the changes are pretty great, there is one change that has been bugging users. The List view in Finder now shows a Preview Pane for absolutely no reason at all, and it can be very annoying. So, if you want to hide the preview pane in macOS Mojave, here is how you can do it.
The most obvious thing that comes to mind for hiding the preview pane in the macOS Mojave Finder is to simply drag it to the right edge of the window, and while that is a temporary fix, the pane always reappears on relaunching Finder, and even on opening a new Finder window. However, fixing this is actually pretty easy. I would’ve liked to call it a macOS Mojave trick but it’s really too easy to be one. Anyway, here you go.
