One of the most recognized mechanics in GTA San Andreas is its unique feature where you can have girlfriends and impress them. There are six possible girlfriends that you can date, each of them with their own special prerequisites, preferences, and rewards.
As you improve your relationship with them, you will gain access to special bonuses that can help you during specific situations in the game. Because of this, it’s ideal to impress all of them to gain all the bonuses.
How to Impress
Prerequisites
All girlfriends will date you if you have collected all 50 Oysters. Otherwise, you must suit their interests to start dating them.
- Barbara: High fat level or maxed sex appeal.Denise: Begin the mission Burning Desire.Helena: Low fat level, low muscle level, and high sex appeal.Katie: High muscle level and high sex appeal.Michelle: Fat level over 50 percent and high sex appeal, or a maxed sex appeal.Millie: Begin the Key to Her Heart Mission.
Preferences
Each girlfriend has different tastes for different activities. This list outlines the basic guides to follow for each girlfriend and type of date. It is important to note that for every girlfriend, a 5 percent bonus will be added to the Relationship Approval each time they invite Carl in for Coffee and he approves.
BarbaraTime: Available for dates between the hours of 00:00 to 06:00 and 14:00 to 20:00.Food: Prefers to go to diners. The closest one is Jay’s Diner, which is in the far northwestern section of the map, just outside the town of Bayside.Dancing: The closest club is The Camel’s Toe in Las Venturas. Carl will need to get a dancing score of at least 3000 to impress Barbara.Driving: Prefers to ride at the same speed of normal traffic. She enjoys riding around El Quebrados.Coffee: Starts asking Carl in for Coffee at a 60% Relationship Approval.DeniseTime: Available for dates between the hours of 16:00 and 06:00.Food: Prefers to go to fast food restaurants or bars, and dislikes diners. The Ten Green Bottles bar is only a block from her home.Dancing: The closest club is Alhambra in Idlewood, which is near the center of Los Santos. Alhambra also works as a dinner date, since it has a bar.Driving: Does not have a preferred driving speed. She enjoys riding around in her neighborhood, and dislikes riding in rural areas or expensive neighborhoods.Special Date: Denise likes to do drive-by shootings at rival gangs in the neighborhood. This serves as an alternative date option for any of the other dates, but it works the same way as a Driving Date.Coffee: Starts asking Carl in for Coffee at around 40% Relationship Approval.HelenaTime: Available for dates between the hours of 08:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 02:00. Food: Prefers to go to restaurants. The closest bar to her is World of Coq, which is in Rodeo, on the western edge of Los Santos. Dancing: The closest one to her is Alhambra in Idlewood, in the center of Lost Santos. You much get a score of at least 4000 to impress her with your dancing. Driving: Prefers slow speeds. She prefers to ride in rural areas (such as the corn fields around her house) or in nice neighborhoods. Coffee: Starts asking Carl in for Coffee at a 70% Relationship Approval. KatieTime: Available for dates between the hours of 12:00 and 00:00.Food: Prefers to go to diners, and dislikes fast food. The closest diner is at the Gant Bridge Visitor center in Paradiso, which is in the northwestern corner of San Fierro.Dancing: The closest club to her is Gaydar Station in Queens, on the middle-west side of San Fierro.Driving: Prefers moderate speeds. She enjoys riding around shorelines and in Chinatown.Coffee: Starts asking Carl in for Coffee at a 52% Relationship Approval.MichelleTime: Available for dates between the hours of 00:00 and 12:00.Food: Prefers to go to bars. The closest bar to her is Misty’s, which is in Garcia, on the eastern side of San Fierro.Dancing: The closest one to her is Gaydar Station in Queens, near the middle of San Fierro.Driving: Prefers fast speeds. She prefers to ride in Doherty or Garcia and does not like driving in Queens or Chinatown.Special Date: Takes Carl on a ride for about two to three hours for her Special Date. The only way to make this date unsuccessful is to leave the car while she is driving.Coffee: Starts asking Carl in for Coffee at around 40% Relationship Approval.
MillieTime: Available for dates between the hours of 12:00 and 22:00.Food: Prefers higher-end restaurants and bars. The closest place to go is the Steakhouse near her house.Dancing: The closest club to her is east of The Camel’s Toe, the casino in the southeastern section of Las Venturas.Driving: Prefers a normal speed, but doesn’t have a strict approval range. She prefers to ride in the neighborhood around her house.Special Date: If you show up at Millie’s house wearing the gimp suit, Carl will enter and it will automatically be successful. This is the fastest and easiest way to gain Relationship Approval with Millie.Coffee: Starts asking Carl in for Coffee at around 40% Relationship Approval.
