OneUI was launched last year by Samsung and it was well-received by the tech community for its new design language and easy accessibility of features. Now, Samsung has released the OneUI 2.0 Beta based on Android 10 for the Galaxy S10 series. It looks quite refined with the new animation and gestures. You also get slow-motion selfies like iPhone 11 Pro and updated Digital well-being features like Focus Mode. So, if you want to be the early tester, follow our guide and install OneUI 2.0 Beta on your Galaxy S10 device right now.

Before moving forward, let me clarify that OneUI 2.0 Beta update is currently available only for Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e. Also, we have mentioned two ways to install the update. The first one is quite easy and straightforward and another one is a manual method. Be assured, Knox does not trip with either method so your warranty remains intact. Now having said that, let’s go ahead and learn about the steps.

The OneUI 2.0 update is only available to users from the following countries as of now: Germany, South Korea, United States, India, Poland, and France. So, if you are from any of these countries, follow the steps below.

  1. Tap on the banner and it should take you to the registration page. Here, enroll your device into the OneUI Beta program and shortly after that, you will receive an OTA for the OneUI 2.0 update.

In case, the update is not available in your country or the slots are full for beta testing then you can update your S10 series manually. However, keep in mind, the process is quite complex and you will need some degree of knowledge on how to flash system files and deal with Android recovery. Also, there are chances of bricking your device so proceed only if you are sure what you are doing.

  • Install the Latest ASII Build

To install the OneUI 2.0 beta, we need a specific “G97xFXXS3ASII” build and that’s why we are downloading a United Kingdom (Country Code: BTU) firmware first. To check your build, open the dialer app on your Samsung device and type *#1234#. If you are already on this build then you can skip this section altogether and jump straight to OneUI 2.0 installation in the next section. Also, Indian users will have to install this firmware first as we have not got the ASII build update yet.

Install the Latest ASII Build

  1. After the download is complete, install another tool called Odin from here. Click on “Odin 3.13.1” to download the latest version. It lets you flash system images on Samsung devices.

Note: Odin might not respond for a while, but keep patience. Due to large files, the processing takes some time.

Install the OneUI 2.0 Beta Build

Having updated your device to the latest ASII firmware, now you can update to the OneUI 2.0 beta build. You can verify the build number again by pressing *1234# in the dialer app. Now, we are going to use the firmware files pulled by Cyber John from XDA Forum. Here are the steps to follow.

  1.  Now, turn off your device completely and then press and hold power, Bixby, and volume up buttons. You will soon enter the recovery mode. Now, choose “update via ADB” option.

So that is how you can install OneUI 2.0 update on your Galaxy S10 device right now. As I mentioned above, the beta is only available to Galaxy S10 series as of now, but Samsung has announced that the update is coming to Note 10 series as well. So when the beta arrives for other devices, you can update your device through the Members app seamlessly. Anyway, that is all from us.
