Now that you’ve made it to Ginger Islands in Stardew Valley, there’s a lot for you to unravel. There are parrots that you have to befriend using golden walnuts, and a new character for you to interact with if you gain his trust. But if you’re finding it a bit difficult to progress into the mountain, you’ve likely run into the issue of attempting to make a bridge inside the volcano after being led there by a firey sprite.

The answer to how you need to make a bridge is likely simpler than you thought it was. To make a bridge, all you have to do is bring your watering can with you when you reach the volcano’s cave, and pour water onto the lava. Much like the broken pipe on the other side of the bridge, the lava will harden, allowing you to cross its path and make it to the other side.

You can choose to pour your water down a single line to make it to the other side, or make two for a larger path. There’s a small water pool to the left of the room that you can utilize if you need to refill your pitcher. Once you make the bridge, you can progress into the mountain, and there are additional monsters for you to slay, so make sure to bring a weapon and some gear with you.
