Just like in other survival games, there are a lot of items that you can make through its Crafting and Cooking features. One of the Cooked items that will prove useful when you’re exploring the dangerous world of Valheim is Deer Stew, which gives you Health and Stamina buffs. If you want to learn how to cook it, this guide will tell you how to make Deer Stew in Valheim.
How to Make Deer Stew – Valheim
Deer Stew is one of many Food items that you can make using a Cauldron. Once eaten, Deer Stew will give +45 Max Health and +15 Max Stamina buffs to your status. Below are all the ingredients and the amount you need to cook yourself a bowl of stomach-filling, warm Deer Stew in Valheim:
- Blueberries x1
- Carrot x1
- Cooked Deer Meat x1
The Cauldron itself can be crafted using 10 Tins if you have not yet owned one. This Crafting Station requires a fire source underneath, like a Campfire or Hearth, in order to function. To get Tin, you can mine them in the Black Forest biome using Antler Pickaxe. You will need to defeat Eikthyr, the first boss, first though, to be able to make an Antler Pickaxe.
In case you also need help procuring the ingredients, we will also tell you where to get them. First, Blueberries can be easily harvested from bushes in the Black Forest just like most Berries in the game. Then for Carrots, you will need Carrot Seeds; which again can be found in the Black Forest area. Afterward, till the land and plant the Seeds with a Cultivator. It will take around two in-game days until you can harvest some Carrots. We have a How To Find and Plant Carrots guide, so don’t forget to check it out for more details.
Lastly, to get Cooked Deer Meat, obviously, you need to cook a lump of deer meat. This can be done by placing Deer Meat in a Cooking station over a lit Campfire and then waiting for 25 seconds. Be careful though, cook it too long and it will turn into a Coal!
