Windows 10 has a dedicated Task Manager that is as old as the OS itself. But what if I tell you that Microsoft has added a new Task Manager solely for managing background tasks while playing games on the PC? Yes, you read that right. Now, you can monitor tasks on Windows 10 while playing games and you don’t need to leave your gaming window. Right on the gaming screen, you can monitor and even close resource-hogging tasks that are hindering your gameplay. So if you want to pin a simple task manager on the gaming screen then follow this guide.

Before we begin, make sure you are updated to the latest Windows 10 October 2020 build. The feature that we are going to discuss here was added to the Xbox Game Bar through the Windows 10 20H2 update.

  1. The best part about this feature is that it allows you to pin the widget on the screen. Basically, while playing games, you will not have to press Alt + Tab to check background processes. Simply click on the “Pin” icon and it will sit on your screen giving you access to background tasks while playing games.
